At Elemeno, our mission is to elevate quality, empower staff, and engage everyone together as a unified team. We aim to enable every caregiver to deliver the best care possible to every life they touch.

As a child, Elemeno founder Arup Roy-Burman, MD, lost his little sister, Urmila, to a medical error. This traumatic event inspired Arup to become a pediatrician and specialize in critical care.

Sadly, throughout his 20-year career leading ICU teams in some of the top U.S. hospitals, Arup continued to see patients harmed by preventable errors. In most cases, these errors were made by smart, hard-working, well-intentioned staff who simply couldn’t find the information they needed when they needed it. Arup knew something had to change.

This was the inspiration for Elemeno.

We formed Elemeno with a select team of dedicated frontline nurses, doctors and ancillary staff. We brought developers from EA, Google, and Salesforce together with instructional design experts to create a powerful tool, which helps frontline teams access essential information when and where they need it, improve communication, and share best practices. The result is empowered and confident staff, delivering higher quality and safer care, at a lower and sustainable cost.
