Ann Scott Blouin, Former EVP of Customer Relations at The Joint Commission Joins Elemeno Health’s Advisory Board

OAKLAND, Calif., July 12, 2018 – Elemeno Health is pleased to announce that Ann Scott Blouin RN, Ph.D., FACHE, who shares the mission and vision to improve the practice and delivery of healthcare through technology, has joined its Advisory Board.

As the former executive vice president of Customer Relations at The Joint Commission, Blouin led alignment of strategic and operational goals of Joint Commission with its client base. Joint Commission is the premier accreditation/certification body for over 21,000 health care organizations and programs, and the only accrediting organization with programs spanning all settings across the care continuum.

Since leaving Joint Commission a few months ago, Blouin founded PSQ Advisory to deliver strategic guidance to America’s health systems. In addition, Blouin currently serves on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Board of Directors and is an editorial advisor for the Journal of Nursing Administration and American Nurse Today.

Blouin sees great alignment in Elemeno’s core mission to advance quality and patient safety at the point of need. She believes that quality and safety are critical to the overall strategic and financial success of health care systems.

“Elemeno Health can bridge the gap between knowledge and clinical practice through its easy to use, mobile access at point-of-care,” said Blouin. “Reducing variation and increasing consistency with leading practices, policies and procedures is enabled by Elemeno’s checklists, guidelines and videos. This is a much needed, innovative solution toward improved standardization.”

Developed in collaboration with UCSF Medical Center, Elemeno Health provides “just-in-time” support and training, enabling front-line healthcare professionals to quickly access, from any device, interactive guidelines, smart checklists and concise how-to videos. Complicated best practices are simplified into bite-sized learning, and the social and “gamification” elements included in the software are designed to engage and motivate team members, enabling executive leadership to strategically promote and track priority best practices.

“As a leader in standardizing frontline patient care, Elemeno will benefit immensely from Ann joining the team,” said Fred Toney, chief executive officer of Launchpad Digital Health and member of Elemeno Health’s board of directors. “As Elemeno is scaling its technology platform across large healthcare enterprises and the healthcare continuum, Ann’s knowledge and expertise from her work with The Joint Commission and so many healthcare organizations will bring great value and insight to our team and clients.”
